Be wise with paper. (Look who is posting. :p)
The good news is paper recycling is on the rise, and choosing the right paper for your kitchen, bathroom or home office can help save forests and conserve energy, too. A ton of recycled paper saves 3,000 to 4,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity compared with producing a ton of virgin-fiber paper.
Cut back on paper in the kitchen as well by using cloth towels and napkins instead.
Effects of Global Warming
The planet is warming, from North Pole to South Pole, and everywhere in between. Globally, the mercury is already up more than 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.8 degree Celsius), and even more in sensitive polar regions.
And the effects of rising temperatures aren’t waiting for some far-flung future. They’re happening right now. Signs are appearing all over, and some of them are surprising. The heat is not only melting glaciers and sea ice, it’s also shifting precipitation patterns and setting animals on the move.
Some impacts from increasing temperatures are already happening.
- Ice is melting worldwide, especially at the Earth’s poles. This includes mountain glaciers, ice sheets covering West Antarctica and Greenland, and Arctic sea ice.
- Researcher Bill Fraser has tracked the decline of the Adélie penguins on Antarctica, where their numbers have fallen from 32,000 breeding pairs to 11,000 in 30 years.
- Sea level rise became faster over the last century.
- Some butterflies, foxes, and alpine plants have moved farther north or to higher, cooler areas.
- Precipitation (rain and snowfall) has increased across the globe, on average.
- Spruce bark beetles have boomed in Alaska thanks to 20 years of warm summers. The insects have chewed up 4 million acres of spruce trees.
Other effects could happen later this century, if warming continues.
- Sea levels are expected to rise between 7 and 23 inches (18 and 59 centimeters) by the end of the century, and continued melting at the poles could add between 4 and 8 inches (10 to 20 centimeters).
- Hurricanes and other storms are likely to become stronger.
- Species that depend on one another may become out of sync. For example, plants could bloom earlier than their pollinating insects become active.
- Floods and droughts will become more common. Rainfall in Ethiopia, where droughts are already common, could decline by 10 percent over the next 50 years.
- Less fresh water will be available. If the Quelccaya ice cap in Peru continues to melt at its current rate, it will be gone by 2100, leaving thousands of people who rely on it for drinking water and electricity without a source of either.
- Some diseases will spread, such as malaria carried by mosquitoes.
- Ecosystems will change—some species will move farther north or become more successful; others won’t be able to move and could become extinct. Wildlife research scientist Martyn Obbard has found that since the mid-1980s, with less ice on which to live and fish for food, polar bears have gotten considerably skinnier. Polar bear biologist Ian Stirling has found a similar pattern in Hudson Bay. He fears that if sea ice disappears, the polar bears will as well.

Chupppp.
In people with hypokalemia, a drop in blood potassium levels results in problems with vital muscle functions. Symptoms can range from mild weakness to serious paralysis, say Greek researchers who conducted a review of people who drank between two to nine liters of cola a day.
Two of the patients were pregnant women who were admitted to hospital with low potassium levels. One was a 21-year-old woman who drank up to three liters of cola a day and complained of fatigue, appetite loss and persistent vomiting. An electrocardiogram revealed she had a heart blockage, and blood tests showed she had low potassium levels, the researchers explained in a news release.
The second pregnant patient, who'd consumed up to seven liters of cola a day for 10 months, had low potassium levels and was suffering from increasing muscular weakness, the researchers noted.
Both patients made a rapid and full recovery after they stopped drinking cola and took oral or intravenous potassium. The case studies are described in the June issue of the International Journal of Clinical Practice.
"We are consuming more soft drinks than ever before, and a number of health issues have already been identified including tooth problems, bone demineralization and the development of metabolic syndrome and diabetes," and there's increasing evidence that excessive cola consumption leads to hypokalemia, Dr. Moses Elisaf, of the University of Ioannina, said in the news release.
Elisaf said the three most common ingredients in cola -- glucose, fructose and caffeine -- can contribute to hypokalemia.
"The individual role of each of these ingredients in the pathophysiology of cola-induced hypokalemia has not been determined and may vary in different patients," Elisaf said. "However, in most of the cases we looked at for our review, caffeine intoxication was thought to play the most important role. This has been borne out by case studies that focus on other products that contain high levels of caffeine but no glucose or fructose."
However, "caffeine-free cola products can also cause hypokalemia because the fructose they contain can cause diarrhea," Elisaf said.

Bekulat begelugut.
By the time I'm composing this, DPMM probably won their match against S'pore. I don't know. But I love this big poster, NO, billboard, you know, yang pusing-pusing ah dekat traffic light tu.. just at the corner of PTE Katok's Traffic light junction, (or maybe at some other places too, balum spotcheck lagi arah lain) and hey, I'm proud to say this - I support DPMM eventhough not the kipas-susah-mati one or won’t spend $50 for the jersey (kalau free mau ih. Ish. Typical Bruneian you ah. :p).OK, I drifted sudah, back to what amazed me, It's the picture of the whole team and a line that says...(here we go, my fav. line on the advert in bwn so far except yang indomee basar di dekat tamu selera atu.)
'We support you all the way'
They were seating very handsomely and I, never fail to praise and glare at ‘em almost every time I passed it. OK, enough saying.
Siapa cakap Bruneian not good with their foot? Handal what?.. Maybe it is because being a footballer is not listed as a profession that can guarantee our future that is why most of us (I mean, orang yang good with their kaki) play football as a hobby or an activity saja. Unless in the US or Britain where a footie can earn up to million for their wages with only chasing the ball. I known few of us that are good in it. Closest should be my very cousin, si Mang. (Munk, Mung, Azri. Antah. Manasaja tia.) He is the one that load the cabinet with his medals. I don’t know what others’ perception on him but as a person I must say he is keen and passionate about football. And after him would be my other cousins. The whole family is. The entire Bruneian is football freak, correct me if I’m wrong but I am sure about it.
That is one of the thing that can unite us because other than that, it’s hard to see us flock and support each other with the ‘Malas ku ingau’ attitude. Very unique. But I believe that Bruneian do support each other, friendly, very polite, humble and so forth. Kalau inda, mengapa seorang pandai shuffle, semua tah kan menyaffle, or ada crumpler, semua crumpler? Very supporting and competitive kan? And by that I strongly believe that if that kind of attitude is channel to a specific tunnel in our mind, Bruneian can go beyond anything is this world.
Maybe… the greenest country?
The most cutest country? :D
The most beautiful and abode country with it’s (PARTIALLY) untouch thick dense forest?
We should be proud my friend…
Dimana tah yang ada spital nya bayar $1 saja and the medication free? (BUT STILL KANA MARAH PHARMACIST OR ATTENDANT PASAL LAMBAT SERVICE NYA? OR COMPLAIN BANYAK PASAL ITU INI?)
Free text books for govt. school? But still the books kana conteng or inda mau bawa and all?)
No TV or radio tax? And sadly we hardly watch RTB? (I admit I didn’t watch it that often, masa kan sungkai saja. Oh jeez.)
The petrol is subsidies and yet, we did less effort to give or show our patriotism towards everything?
I am sad when I saw this particular person furiously taking off this miniature flag of ours’ sometimes last year from his car’s hood. I think it was during the national day or HM’s birthday. Either one. I was walking to my ride and he just parked few box next to us. I can tell that he was mad by the look on his face. He said, “Rusak tia cat kerita ku.” Maybe he really mean it. He drove a luxury ride BTW. Lawa but sorry sir, I was disgusted by that. Maybe kana lakatkan kali because at that time the hotel in the city centre sticks the flag to their customers or simply any car that park within the area. I mean, he could take it off when he’s home. At least orang inda disappoint or… I don’t know. I know…inda rugged be-bendera? I complained too. I whine as well. But I keep on reminding myself how lucky we are living in this country. The high and lows, still, this is the country that we have to forfeit even the smallest and unseen deeds. In our own way, we can do it.
Lakap cat sedikit inda jua dapat di compare with what the country did to you mister.
“Don’t ask what country can do for you, ask yourself what YOU CAN DO TO YOUR COUNTRY.”
I am proud and lucky to be Bruneian.
SEEEEEERIOUSLY…heh.

a GREEN monday ahead.
It's monday and mother nature was very cool and cosy earlier today. I was freezing in the office! I dreamt of weird things this few weeks, as superstitious as I am, this time it really trigger me. I mean, I dreamt about fire, accident and this one sacred graveyard which is located at Tutong. I am not sure what the name is but all I know it's painted yellow and I often see people stop by and throw coins to 'em... and BTW, there is where my dad left my sister, Dee when she refused to go the her school when she was still in the kindergarden. GAUK! Haha. OK, back to all the weird dreams, I interpret some from the book (look how superstitious I am? HAHA) it brings good meaning tho but according to Babah, it's not. Let it end here, after all its only a dream.

BWN-SIN-BWN
When time ticks very...slow.
"I'm sorry all the seats are full, come back here for the next flight at 7 pm"
OMG. With Gjul's triple whooper and my luggage gripply in my hands I try to be as positve as I can.
· I can shop more.
· I can cuci-mata.
· I can jalan-jalan.
· I can eat more.
But i feel empty, maybe because my mind is set to be in bwn at noon. Burgers ada 6, gila ni. I hope i can catch the next flight so that Gjul masih dapat makan by the time I'm home.
Oh. I forgot the introduction.
I am in the Lion city sama my brother for...entah. Kan makan and shopping and liat giutar. Liat saja. Mana ada kami bali. Haha. We safely landed last saturday and stayed for these 2 nights at The Hive Backpackers (so that i can spend more money to eat and shop).
I stayed there almost everytime I come to Spore pasal (read above) and the location is cantik. It is only less than 5 min. walk from Boon Keng mrt station, NE9. For me what important is the cleanliness, comfortabilty and privacy of the 'hive'. Yang lain i just don't bother much, jangan mengusut.
1st day. - We went out roughly around 3 or 4 pm to Bugis Junction and walk around to Bugis street sampai Bain street. And benda-benda yang menyangkut are...
· Capo and books from swee lee as well as mata iyul melakat meliat flying vee.
· Topshop.
· Starbucks.
· Fcuk.
· Makan, we ate rice bowl and other fingers food. I can't list semua...it's so mouth watering~
We are so tired and balik awal with Nasi Ayam Penyet. The sambal was very spicy but 4 thumbs up (that adds up iyul's). 'Padas nya sampai bingal (kali lah, i don't know the spelling) telinga'.
2nd day - Orchard road getaway.
· Clarke Quay. (sp!)
· Shaw house.
· Wheelock place - kunikoniya, crumpler nya sale and dee is mad to know about it :p
· Wisma Atria - Topshop & Gap.
· Tang plaza..
· Liat towers. - Esprit.
· Far east plaza.
· MAKAAAAN. oh, Char kway teow nya shiok!
And i wanted to go to Mustafa but iyul bekuruh-kuruh sudah. So we just end up bitting on Mc spicy.
3rd day, today.
Checked out at 7 and we straight away go to SIA airport and... you may navigate your page up.
Yes, that is why i am typing this now. Pasal kami stranded :( and the next flight pukul 9.45 and...bangas tia burger ah. Tapi it's ok, we would prolly gonna go around later pasal inda tahan karau menunggu di airport ah :D
*************************
I forgot to post that! Haha. We went to Vivo city masa stranded tu, eating & shupping! I went to the National Geographic's Shop and it's overwhelming, everlast's goddies, candy empire...
We manage to get the next flight back to BWN, jump seat! Haha. But eventually SITTING IN THE COCKPIT IS SO COOL! I was in the cloooowwwwd~ payah tidur saja :D
Thanks to the BI personnel in SIN who get me the seats back home... :)

oh oh ada lagi tapi i gtg now, work!
Tanah oh tanah.
I have a lot to share but to spill it all macam melampau pulang. Hm..
My parents are planning to build a house this july. Finally we had our own house, our very own place. But the process of getting there is not easy and we are still on it. From clearing the ownership, the plan, the supplies…everything. This is the time when obstacle are scattering, the ideas mushrooming and expectations that we put rains to Babah’s mind.
Masa awal-awal we repudiate Mama’s plan to built the house on her land because all we think was jauh jua…., takut eh…, karang ada antu (yes, that comes from me). My gram were delighted if we built our house beside hers’ which was OK with me (and the rest ofcourse). And then we found out SOMEONE IS NOT HAPPY WITH THAT IDEA, MAKAN TAH TANAH ATU!). Personally, I am pissed with that. I am angry for his attitude tapi mama cakap biartia…

friends.
friends.
Copied these from nurnadzirah's blog.
*If you are angry with someone, write them a letter. And then THROW IT AWAY. Or express your feeling by write them into your secret diary. It will make you feel better to get your feelings out.
*Tell the TRUTH. It will always end up better in the long run.
*Be brave enough to say SORRY as soon as you realise you've done something wrong. And always remember that everyone makes MISTAKES.
And if i'm not mistaken, she took these piece from kid's book called 'know it all'.

MAKANSUTRA...I am still eyeing on you. Ahah!
I don't know. My 'healthy diet plan' seems to be around so whenever it crossed my mind i say 'no' to almost anything edible but most of the time, I am still munching my heart out! So as per my plan last saturday, yes i... :
- Went to Wasai Sungai Buluh with Pengambar 'Wasai Hunter' Team and captured most of their action rather than the Wasai itself. Note: I sweat. SWEAT like ____. Haha. The trecking was fun and tiring but worth it.
- I didn't go to the gym because I smelled like kerbau (pasal gugur dalam kamah)so I fetch my brother from school and go straight home instead.
- 2100 onwards, I eat, I munch, I chew, I swallow, I taste FOOD. Plenty of them.
Ohhh goshh.
Sunday was HAHAHA.
I crack up early because the toilet seems to be paging me like...4 times and..I dressed up to attend a wedding at ICC.
1000-1400 Cover the wedding, shots are awesome and I enjoyed the food.
I went home around 4 and planned an outing with my sister after we cooled off but i end up hibernating and woke up 13 hours after that.
TELL ME LIFE'S GOOD.

We are so...blessed!
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture orthe pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.
If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank,in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are amongthe top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can,but most do not.
If you can hold someone's hand, hug themor even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch.
If you can read this message, you are more blessed than overtwo billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.
You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.

If you fail to plan, you plan failure.
8.30 Photography outing at Sungai Buluh.
10++ get my car serviced, washed & alignment ah. ah.
12+ Cover boutique opening.
1500 Return library books.
I hope somewhere between these hour I'll be able to drag my ass to the gym.
1930 Menyushi (or whatever I want to call it because I don't eat sushi. I'll go for the tsunami meshi saja ;)
TBA.
Hopefully my healthy diet plan goes well tommorow. (Pasal tadi pacah makan cookies&cream sama mee ah. Si-Pai lapar, i have to dangan kan ia makan. HAHA)
Motivate me!
And while in the crew room, my OTHER colleague goes, "Eh ony, lampuh". I was playing cards with the rest when Joy mention that they talked about me the day before about my recent excessive eating habit and how plump i am. I know that I am gaining weight since I look so sampit in my top and jeans but I can't hardly resist my mum's cookings, pasar malam, those attempting recipes and simply, FOOD. Don't tell me that I didn't try to keep those nasty desire for massive glucose off this thinking because I did try. I try to shed these extra pounds but all i can hear is.. "Eh, next week tah start healthy diet" so the result is, I gain few extra pounds by that promising act. But hey, I'll start hitting the gym tommorow. My weekend is here, no OT & all so hopefully, hopefully I'll be sweating these calories out! Plus I heard we'll be out for a photographic outing and I'll be covering a boutique opening tommorow. (Oh, I covered Majlis Berbedak as well last night. And yes, I do sweat) Kurus tah ni.. HAHA Confident.
Cross my fingers. (So that I won't be grabbing those cookies & cream with fruits and extra dash of chocolate sauce!)

- Went to Lion city with babah for his karaoke's acc.
- Went to Merudi. (Those recent pictures with rumah panjang and all.). That was the most memorable trip because i was really enjoying it and... entah. haha.
